SICILIAN SAFFRON

The Sicilian Saffron flower, an active and precious source of soothing and antioxidant substances, is a key ingredient of the LUXOM line.

Knowledge of this flower is ancient; representations dating back to 3500 BC have been revealed in the Palace of Knossos in Crete. Known for millennia for its medicinal, aromatic and colouring qualities, it is depicted in the Egyptian papyri of the 2nd century BC and its first historical references date back to the sacred scriptures.

The stigmas of Saffron (Crocus Sativus) have revitalizing, antioxidant, purifying and decongestant properties.
Instead, the flower extract is moisturising, regenerating and replenishing.

Their harmonious synergy helps create a more even complexion and renders the skin supple, firm and luminous, counteracting ageing and the appearance of blemishes.

SNAIL SLIME

The known secretion (or slime) of snails is one of the main ingredients of the LUXOM line.
It is a natural remedy that has its roots in ancient history.
Hippocrates exploited its decongestant and anti-inflammatory properties to soothe skin irritations and inflammations.

Moisturising, thanks to the mucopolysaccharides, film-forming substances that are able to retain water on the skin and ensure long-lasting hydration.
Replenishing, due to the combined effect of substances such as collagen, allantoin and vitamins.
Soothing, ideal for calming redness due to prolonged exposure to the sun or cold.

Nourishing, thanks to the generous vitamin and protein content.
Anti-wrinkle, lifting effect by the stimulation of collagen synthesis, due to the action of glycolic acid combined with elastin, mucopolysaccharides, vitamins and collagen.
Effective against blemishes and acne marks, thanks to the smoothing, exfoliating and purifying properties of glycolic acid.

SICILIAN FIRST-PRESS EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

The precious extra virgin olive oil used in LUXOM is obtained from olives pressed only once, maintaining unchanged all the nutritional and organic qualities they contain.

The cosmetic qualities of this precious food date back to ancient times.
The Phoenicians called it “liquid gold” and used it as a beauty treatment, just as the ancient Egyptians appreciated the benefits and relief for softening the skin.

It is an excellent anti-ageing remedy, suitable for all skin types, moisturising and soothing for common skin irritations.
It replenishes the skin to render the face smooth and luminous, soft and supple.
